It’s February!  Groundhogs are making predictions, the weather is weird, and the CATOCTIN HERITAGE brews are back!

Stake The Farm was an amazing use of Monocacy hops, but we didn’t stop there!

Last year’s favorite returns!

Catoctin Heritage Vienna Lager
5.4% abv / 20 ibu
Perhaps the favorite of last year’s Catoctin Heritage series, our Vienna Lager returns!  While the recipe remains unchanged, we think that the 2023 Monocacy hop harvest is a little more assertive and complex than the 2022 harvest.

And once again, this hop plays exceptionally well with local Vienna malt!  Notes of toasty biscuity maltiness pair wonderfully with a spicy earthy hop character.

Malts used: Bear Branch Vienna, Chesapeake Pils, Bear Branch Munich Dark

Hops used: UMD Monocacy (2023)

And introducing a brand new beer!

Catoctin Heritage Cream Ale
4.5% abv / 14 IBU
Welcome to Corn Country!  It’s no secret that we love a good cream ale, and this is a very good cream ale indeed!  The craftiest barley malt Maryland has to offer, mixed with a heapin’ helpin’ of Maryland grown and malted corn and hopped with Monocacy.
Crisp, clean and delicious.

Malts used : Bear Branch Munich, Chesapeake Pale, Chesapeake Pils, Chesapeake malted corn

Hops used : UMD Monocacy (2023)
