September!  I’m pleased to report that it is a lovely cool 59°f outside this morning and it feels amazing.

It’s enough to get me craving some autumnal libations!  And wouldn’t you know it, our Oktoberfest is pouring!  Made with 100% Maryland-grown ingredients, this delicious Märzen was done the traditional way – brewed in early spring and then lagered cold for months. This makes for a clean, clear, rich beer perfect for the season!

Also in preparation for cooler nights and changing leaves, Ray and I just brewed a new seasonal lager in collaboration with the MD chapter of the American Chestnut Foundation and our good buddy Goodloe (of upcoming brewery Brüdr). Keep an eye out for updates on this beer, to be premiered at the coming Maryland Chestnut Festival at Milkhouse.

We’ve got some beers to say goodbye to as well as the seasons change. Steamin’ Eagle is officially done, though we do intend to revisit the style at some point.

Also nearing the last keg is our HomeState Hefeweizen. This will be it until 2026 so get it while you can!

See you all at In The Streets and our MiniFest!

Cheers.
