Coming to the Mercantile this month:
- Watch for our LOCAL PRODUCE from Chestnut Creek Farm. All of the produce we have is sustainably grown without chemicals and picked fresh the Friday before the weekend. Look for new things each week as different things come in season. Currently we have beets, turnips, greens, string beans, and cucumbers.
- We also have a VERY LIMITED supply of Monocacy Hop starts ready to plant. These unique MD hops will not be found elsewhere and are sure to sell out quickly.
- If you haven’t seen these yet, check out the Specialty dog treats from Melmo’s Dog Treats. These organic treats are homemade using wholesome ingredients and no preservatives. Six tasty flavors including Homestyle Chicken, Dreamy Blueberry, Mint Berry, Punky Peanut Butter, Seafood Supreme, and Beef Stew (the favorite of Ray’s dog Josie).
- Also NEW – 100% beeswax candles from Wood and Honey. These handmade candles have a wonderful floral honey scent that is the natural scent of the wax.
- Coming… going…going….gone. We will have a very limited amount of maple syrup from trees here on the farm. Probably 12-14 pints total (from about 60 gal of sap). This will be gone quickly.
- Fleeces – we completed our spring shearing and have quite a number of lovely white and colored fleeces. These are about 6 -7 in and very free of VM. Beat the crowds and get your spinning fleeces straight off the farm. Contact Carolann to see what’s available
- Farm raised meat – Grilling season is here. Our Lamb and beef has been restocked so we have steaks again as well as ground lamb, chops, and other cuts. Also chicken from Angie’s Greener Pastures farm.
